MockDraft 101′s Opinion:
- Smith is a naturally solid SS. Played some OLB early in his career and has an attacking downhill nature to him. Can play both Safety’s spot, but with his trouble at man-to-man coverage is most likely limited to SS. Can be inconsistent at times, but if an NFL team can get him to play more hot than cold, he should be a solid starter in this league. Should hear his name called in round 2 of the draft.
